How long have you been with Nexion?

I’m based in London, Ont., and have been with Nexion Canada from the beginning of the company’s existence, Feb 1, 2013.


Tell us a bit about the host agency; what are some of the benefits of membership and who is it best suited to?

We provide the independent travel professional with the tools, technology, education and coaching to be successful.


What is your role at Nexion?

I oversee the Member Services and Business Development team as well as manage the day-to-day operations for Nexion Canada.


How do you help member agents to market themselves and access leads?

Nexion Canada members have a lot of benefits that come with being a member, including access to Travel Leaders Network suite of marketing programs. This includes their personal Agent Profiler published on the Travel Leaders Network national lead-generation website and the award-winning Engagement direct and e-mail programs.


How do you help member agents to continue their training in developing skills in service niche markets?

We encourage members to invest in their business and themselves. We understand that everyone learns differently and offer different options for our members to take advantage of as they see fit. Nexion Canada offers a variety of training and business development options including niche specific training summits, local networking events, CoNexion (our annual conference), and regularly scheduled webinars and quick-learns recorded so members can listen when convenient. For those new to the industry, Nexion Canada has a program specially designed for prospective travel agents. We offer both a Virtual Campus and an Independent Learner program so that participants can get their business off to a successful start.


How do you support your agents in serving their clients?

Our member services team is with our members every step of the way servicing their clients. We provide the tools, technology and support to help our members be professional, efficient and organized.


What kinds of reservations and revenue-tracking systems do you use to help agents efficiently make sales and get paid promptly?

Nexion members have access to SmartView, a program that members can access anytime, anywhere, to track their sales and commissions.


Do you have a leads-generating program?

Yes, our members can participate by completing their AgentProfiler, which provides consumers with a full representation of the member’s expertise, knowledge, along with photos, biography and links to social media such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.


What kind of supplier relationships does Nexion have?

As part of the Travel Leaders Group family, Nexion can offer our members the opportunity to earn top-tier commissions and supplier partner support.
