Sunwing is adding a couple of new flights that will help whisk westerners to the sun in a more efficient fashion next winter.
For the first time, the tour operator will offer vacation packages from Abbotsford with Sunday departures to Puerto Vallarta, on Mexico’s Pacific coast, beginning Dec. 17, and running weekly until April 8, 2018.
Abbortsford is Sunwing’s fourth B.C. gateway, providing convenient southern access to residents of the city and the Fraser Valley region. Flights will be operated by Viva Aerobus.
The tour operator offers a wide variety of accommodation packages in Puerto Vallarta, including Riu Jalisco, situated on the soft sands of Playa de Flamingos in Nuevo Vallarta. Located on a private beach area, it offers a variety of complimentary land and watersports including shuffleboard, kayaking, and catamaran sailing. Younger guests can enjoy a wide variety of crafts and activities at the complimentary RiuLand Kids’ Club, while the children’s swimming pool provides a safe place to splash around.
Known for its entertaining Kamp Krystal for kids which features an indoor playground, video games room and daily program of activities for younger guests, the family-friendly Krystal Vallarta is another popular choice. Parents looking for a little alone time can take advantage of the Jacuzzis, spa treatments, and romantic outdoor dining with breathtaking views of Banderas Bay.
Meanwhile, Sunwing will also launch Saturday departures to P.V. from Victoria, starting Dec. 16, running through April 7, 2018. The Puerto Vallarta service compliments existing seasonal service to Los Cabos, which begins the following day.
