Such is the popularity of Italy amongst Canadians that the globus family of brands has put together a standalone brochure on the “boot” of Europe for 2018 entitled “Off the Beaten Piazza,” which urges travellers to “rediscover your love for Italy.” Featured, naturally, are Globus, Cosmos and Monograms offerings, but also inspirational information on what to eat and what to buy in the destination.
Recently, Globus also invited its executive director for Europe, Marco Sorbara to talk up the destination at Toronto’s La Veranda Osteria Ristorante, where guests were treated to an Italian feast with the observation that many travellers choose Italy because of its fantastic food.
Stéphanie Bishop, Managing Director of Globus in Canada, noted that Italy is high on the brand’s priority list for 2018, not only during the summer, but off-season as well. And to that end, the destination is well represented in the “Escapes by Globus” program, which offers low-season tour rates starting at $849.
The Piazza brochure, meanwhile, highlights nine coach tours from Globus and Cosmos (four of them new), as well as Monograms’ independent travel program.
Overall, there are more than two dozen tours to choose from between Globus and Cosmos, plus city getaways and custom options from Monograms, which offers a package tours for independent travellers, but the ability for clients to do their own thing if they choose.
