This spring marks exciting updates for YUL, from updated interiors and amenities, to three new daily Air Canada routes opening Montreal to Denver, Houston and Philadelphia.
YUL Updates Complete
On May 10th, Aeroports de Montreal (ADM) proudly announced their completed expansion project at Montreal Pierre-Elliott Trudeau International Airport. The project saw $350 million worth of expansions and improvements. Improvements that include the addition of local eateries, Francophone artwork, innovative design and an open-concept area with a colourful lighted ceiling installation titled “Veil of Glass.”
More International Connections

For Canadian travellers, the most note-worthy improvement comes from Air Canada, who has introduced three new non-stop routes between Montreal Pierre-Elliot Trudeau International Airport and the States.
New routes from Montreal to Denver and Houston will fly daily, while YUL-Philadelphia will depart twice daily. Houston and Philadelphia will be serviced by Air Canada Express.
“For customers traveling to the U.S., these new routes offer convenient connections at major hubs of our partner United Airlines, giving customers more travel options throughout the U.S. and Latin America. For international travelers flying to and from the U.S., it has never been easier to connect in Montreal to Air Canada’s global network including Paris, Geneva, Brussels and, beginning next year, Lyon,” says Calin Rovinescu, President and Chief Executive Officer of Air Canada.
Leading the way to and from Montreal
With the addition of these three routes, Air Canada now offers non-stop flights to 18 U.S. cities from Montreal, the most of any airline.
“Aéroports de Montréal welcomes Air Canada’s decision to add these three new routes to the United States, which along with the increasing number of destinations and the use of larger aircraft on Europe routes next summer, confirms Air Canada’s commitment to making Montreal–Trudeau an essential hub in its global expansion strategy,” said ADM President and Chief Executive Officer James Cherry.
